South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership – Educational Programmes

Safer Road Users, 2015

The police-led partnership is formed of senior representatives from 12 authorities who include city and district councils, a primary health-care trust, highways authorities and The Peak Park Planning Authority.

It has overall responsibility to co-ordinate and report on efforts to promote safer roads and reduce casualties across South Yorkshire.

It runs a number of well-founded outreach and educationally- based road safety programmes. In particular the Peer to Peer Drama Project, and the Safer Driving to work initiative had good targeting and a freshness of approach.
