Tristar – Innovative Road Safety Programmes
Tristar is a transport business in Dubai, covering liquid logistics primarily in the oils, gas and chemical sectors, which manages a range of innovative road safety programmes these include:
• The successful implementation of innovative ‘Rollover Warning Devices’ in its trucks. This has helped remarkably in improving rollover stability of long/articulated trucks carrying bulk liquid.
• A well researched and resourced schools education programme - My First Driving License- launched in UAE under approval from Dubai Police. The objective being to educate young students about road safety. To date it has covered around 5000 children aged 4-8 years from various schools in Dubai and this is now being extended to senior students aged 12-15 years.
• Let’s go home safely- a programme for heavy duty drivers in association with Road Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai and RoSPA.
• CHEST (CHeck Every STep) with the slogan ‘99% is not safe enough – I’ll always check every step’ – which is a programme to improve the safety performance of all the staff of Tristar who drive for work.
