National Road Safety Council – Improving road safety in Jamaica
Jamaica’s national coordinating body for road safety promotion, the National Road Safety Council (NRSC) has received a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in recognition of its contribution as the Lead Agency for road safety in Jamaica. It has seen how effective leadership and a concentrated effort by a dedicated team can make a real difference and save lives. Uniquely the cahirman of NRSC is The Prime Minister. The NRSC received its award on its twentieth anniversary in a year where there had been the lowest level of casualties on record.
