RoadSTARS (Sustainable Travel & Road Safety), Kingston Upon Thames – The Education and Training Awards: Sponsored by Wincanton
A school - community based road and vehicle safety awareness campaign. In every school in the borough, two students in either Year 10 or 11 lead safety programmes which have attracted media attention.
The RoadSTARS has generated some effective outcomes leading to a reduction in the number of casualties in young people in the Borough for the years 2006 and 2007.
