Central Scotland Police

Public Education, 2008

A drink - drive campaign initiated by Central Scotland Police and fully supported by Diageo UK and Central F.M. 103.1 Radio Station.

From November 2006 to May 2007, 348 drivers were processed for exceeding the prescribed limit, and 20 drivers were involved in injury collisions while over the prescribed drink drive limit.

To reduce drink drive figures, Central Scotland Police initiated a drink-drive campaign by forming a partnership with Diageo UK, and Central F.M. 103.1 Radio Station.

Following the 6 month drink drive campaign there was a 21% decrease in the number of drivers processed for exceeding the prescribed limit, and a 45% decrease in the number of drivers involved in collisions while over the prescribed drink drive limit.
