West Yorkshire Community Speed Watch
Commendation
West Yorkshire Community Speed Watch schemes aim to share the responsibility for addressing speed related offending between the community, the police and other agencies. Schemes will consist of active members of the local community joining together to monitor speed at selected locations with speed monitoring equipment. Volunteers receive the appropriate training supported by local beat managers, special constables and the road policing unit.
