In Greater London some 20% of all crashes involve injury to motorcyclists. This is almost double the national rate.
Transport for London has taken a unique approach to motorcycle safety by developing a ‘package’ approach to the problem. At the core of this is a partnership with representatives from the police, motorcycling organisations and the London Boroughs which provides a unique approach to rider safety improvement in the context of regional Government.
