IRTE
The (Indian) Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) are winners of the first Prince Michael International Road Safety Award. Developed by local professionals, the organisation has introduced an infrastructure by means of education, research and training in traffic police, enforcement technology, traffic engineering, public participation and driver training systems. It has developed into a unique scheme for participation of university students in traffic management and education; this is now a fully functional violation penalty.
