Active Strategy to Reduce Accidents (ASTRA)

The initiative came about as a result of months of research and planning by Police Constable's Steve Postlewaite and Alan Rogers, aimed at the highest risk casualty group in the country, the 16-19 year old novice driver. The strategy's main aim comes into line with that of the Warwickshire Traffic Department and the National Planning Policy to reduce road casualties and also that of the schools National Curriculum, to provide Personal and Social Education.
