The Land Transport Authority of Singapore – School Zone Road Safety Toolkit
The Land Transport Authority of Singapore has over 25 years developed a series of engineering measures including interactive signalling, speed reduction and highly visible road markings to reduce risk. This led to the development of a School Zone Road Safety Toolkit designed to provide guidance on how to reduce pedestrian traffic-related accidents and injuries within designated School Zones.
Apart from engineering measures, LTA collaborates closely with the Traffic Police and Singapore Road Safety Council to enhance safety within School Zones.
In1996 when there were 175 child casualties in 2018, there were none.
