Safe Kids Worldwide – Safe Kids Buckle Up Programme

In 1997, the Safe Kids Buckle Up Programme (SKBU) was created by the US-based Safe Kids Worldwide (SKW), with support from General Motors (GM). SKBU is a comprehensive programme that focuses on vehicle safety for children in and around the vehicle.

Since its inception, the programme has hosted more than 156,266 educational events across the USA reaching more than 29 million families. These activities have resulted in more than 784,000 car seats distributed to families in need and more than 2.55 million car seats checked.
