2 September 2020

RoSPA press release.

The winners of the fleet trophies at the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards demonstrate world-leading performance in the protection of their employees and other road users.

This year, Emirates Driving Institute became the first organisation to be awarded the Fleet Safety Trophy – Middle East, with Eurovia UK winning the Fleet Safety Trophy – UK.

Colas Limited has been named the winner of the Fleet Safety Technology Trophy, sponsored by Tesco Dotcom.

RoSPA’s Fleet Safety Trophy is presented annually to the organisation that demonstrates the most effective and cohesive programme for the management of occupational road risk (MORR), supported by historical performance data. Reflecting the increase in high-performance MORR in the region, this year a Middle East trophy has also been awarded.

RoSPA chief executive Errol Taylor said, “As expected, we saw strong representation from fleet safety entrants in the Middle East this year, so huge congratulations are due to Emirates Driving Institute, the winner of our first region-specific Fleet Safety Trophy. Our congratulations also go to Eurovia UK and Colas Limited for their leading approaches to fleet safety.”

The RoSPA Fleet Safety Awards form part of the  RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, which is the country’s most prestigious, largest and longest-running awards programme of its type, attracting nearly 2,000 entrants each year, and is sponsored by NEBOSH – The National Examination Board in Safety and Health. This year, it has received entries from organisations in 42 countries, representing more than 7million employees.
