Mobility and Accessibility for Children and Adults Ltd (MACA) – A national program to improve safe road use for children and young people with disability
Delivered by MACA , this innovative program is advancing the rights of Australian children and young people with disability to safe and equitable transport. Through applying a social model approach, the program focuses on building capacity and capability, strengthening policies and systems, advancing knowledge and driving innovation to address systemic barriers. The program evaluation found this approach is effective in improving health professional knowledge and skill, with families experiencing improved access to products and supports for their child’s road safety needs.
