King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok to receive a Royal Award

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok Automotive Safety and Assessment Research Centre (ASAE-RC) and its contribution to improve safety in Thailand and Southeast Asia. 

ASAE research centre was established under KMUTNB to focus on vehicle safety aspects. Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saiprasit Koetniyom from The Sirindhorn Thai-German Graduate school of Engineering (TGGS), ASAE-RC has produced many research findings and patents in the area related to the safety of road users including motorcyclist and pillion passenger. It has successfully elevated vehicle safety standard in Thailand. Other than conducting research and development, ASAE-RC has also committed to do various kind of activities to raise public awareness of road safety, especially with regards to motor vehicle safety. The bestowing of this award reflects the international recognition of the ASAE-RC ’s work in collaboration with international organizations including ASEAN NCAP to support the important programme of sharing knowledge and implementation which has contributed to the reduction in casualties in Thailand and ASEAN.
