Carnell – SAFETYcam solution
Developed by Carnell, Safetycam is an intelligent site safety innovation, which protects road workers by using two complimentary vehicle detection systems to capture instances of dangerous driving, whilst providing a conspicuous visual deterrent and actively changing driver behaviour.
It uses image, video and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to capture and report evidence of dangerous driving. Ingeniously combined in a multi-purpose site welfare vehicle it provides a conspicuous visual deterrent. Operators capture evidence in-situ with data stored securely in a bespoke cloud-based system. Evidence has shown the elimination of vehicle incursions and dramatically reduced number of vehicles exceeding site speed restrictions.
