Latin NCAP – Latin NCAP Crash Tests
Latin NCAP is an independent non-profit consumer testing organisation which crash tests cars sold in the South American and Caribbean market and publishes the results. Latin NCAP also advocates for road safety in the region, and supports governments in efforts to establish vehicle regulatory regimes. Since 2010 Latin NCAP has tested more than fifty models, and has contributed to a significant increase in debate and media attention for vehicle safety. Some major manufacturers are responding to Latin NCAP crash tests by improving crashworthiness and introducing air bags as standard in all models.
