This nomination is from one part of a worldwide motor fleet risk management collaboration between Nestlé Group, Zurich Financial Services and Interactive Driving Systems. Over the past two year’s Nestlé Waters Direct has successfully improved its safety and reduced its at-fault crash rate per vehicle and driver.
Nestlé is a global food company, with over 500 factories, more than 250,000 employees and over 30,000 vehicles in 50 plus countries. One part of the company is Nestlé Waters, which supplies bottled water to Homes and Offices all over the world. Nestle Waters Direct services their customers in 11 countries around Europe, focusing on installing, maintaining and servicing clean, hygienic and functioning water coolers with water delivery in 18.5 litre returnable containers. Empty bottles are collected and returned to production sites to be washed and refilled.
Nestlé Waters Direct have successfully trialled and implemented Virtual Risk Manager’s Driver Profile, RoadRISK and One More Second programs, supported by CrashCOUNT and a global Management Information System.
Initial RoadRISK trials in the UK showed a clear correlation between the assessment outcomes and the drivers’ previous collision history. Finance was secured from Nestlé’s insurance captive fund for a multi-lingual program to be rolled out across the world.
