Putting people first the company aims to significantly reduce risk FM Conway made a statement of intent that ‘through our actions and innovations, no road user will suffer life-changing harm involving our vehicles by 2030’. via an initial 50% reduction in road traffic crashes involving personal injury, rising to 90% in three years and, ultimately, elimination by targeting risk at source and identified improvements to safety critical controls across our fleet and training process for our people.
The company has implemented innovative technologies to engineer out the risks associated with operating vehicles in urban environments with the inherent risk of coming into contact with other road users, including cyclists and pedestrians.
It has also developed innovative methodology to deliver a tailored and improved training experience, to ensure that drivers are regularly trained and re-trained to deliver new levels of safety standards.
The Occupational Road Risk initiative targets risk at the source and identifies improvements to safety critical controls across the fleet and training process for its people.
