The RAC Foundation – The Effectiveness of Speed Cameras

Special Awards, 2011

The RAC Foundation’s report by Richard Allsop – ‘The Effectiveness of Speed Cameras- A review of evidence’ has had a significant impact on policy and aided numerous police forces both in the UK and further afield to make the case for speed camera enforcement in the face of significant funding challenges. It proved that if speed cameras were to be decommissioned across Great Britain then about 800 more people per year would be killed or seriously injured.
