CrossRight

Commendation

Highly Commended, 2007

The CrossRight scheme is a pedestrian skills training programme developed in 2007 by Liverpool City Councils Road Safety Team for children in Key Stage One. After a review of relevant literature the CrossRight scheme works by allowing children to learn about road safety by practising at the road side under the instruction of a trainer. Using initial assessments training can be adapted to suit the needs of specific children and by using post course evaluations progress can be monitored. www.liverpool.gov.uk.
